About Matt Childs

Prior to forming Childs Company, Matt was the CFO and a major shareholder at After Hours Formal Wear, the nation's largest retailer and wholesaler of men's formal wear. During his tenure at After Hours, the company grew from 50 locations doing $10 million in revenue to 240 locations doing over $100 million in revenue. Matt and the management team at After Hours developed and executed a plan to consolidate their industry, concluding with a successful sale to a public company in 2001.

In addition to financial management, Matt was heavily involved in all phases of the company's operations. He was instrumental in raising capital for the company's growth, directed the company's acquisition efforts and served as the company's primary liason with external investors, creditors and board members.

Since 2001, Matt has devoted his professional life to assisting business owners, executives and professionals in maximizing and managing the value of their corporate and personal assets. Matt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and is a licensed Investment Adviser Representative.

Matt graduated from the University of Georgia and began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club, Long Cove Club and the Phoenix Society. Matt actively supports a number of non profit organizations including Children's Health Care of Atlanta , Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Shepherd Spinal Center.
