With the annual TOUR Championship teeing off today at East Lake Golf Club, we wanted to share a recent event we were a part of in the local area. Matt Childs and Andrew Henry attended the Peachtree Corners Business Association’s speaker series event on July 25th at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast. Alex Urban, the Executive Director for the TOUR Championship and a resident of Peachtree Corners, provided an entertaining presentation on the PGA TOUR Championship. Alex, a longtime executive, offered amazing insights and a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to pull off such a major event. In addition to crowning the winner of the FedEx Cup, the TOUR Championship raises over $7 million for charities in Atlanta.
We were also given the opportunity to tell the story behind Childs Company and to highlight our focus on both supporting entrepreneurs in their pursuit of financial independence and supporting non-profits in our community.
