Friends,
We’d like to take this opportunity to spotlight Promise686, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children find safe, loving and forever families. We have recently gotten to know the great people at Promise686 and have volunteered to become a Corporate Sponsor of this outstanding organization headquartered in Peachtree Corners. “God sets the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:6
Did you know that every year over 250,000 children enter the U.S. child welfare system and need a safe, loving family to care for them? The pattern of family breakdown often leaves children trapped in a cycle of anxiety, fear and a sense of being unwanted.
Since Promise686 was founded in 2009, they’ve been chasing one ambitious vision: ending the child welfare crisis and making sure that every child has a safe, loving and forever family. Thanks to the help of generous partners and supporters, they’re making serious progress.
Churches represent the largest and most reliable source of individuals positioned to support vulnerable children and families. However, most simply don’t know how to take meaningful action. Promise686 partners with churches all over the country to create Family Advocacy Ministries (FAM’s), providing what vulnerable children need most…strong families. Using an evidence-based approach and leveraging the latest innovations and technology, churches are being equipped to make a difference in our child welfare crisis.
